It’s becoming harder and harder to stay organized as a mom. I’ve got a preschool class list, a kindergarten class list, sports rosters and more.  I don’t have time to enter all of the contacts into my phone but the scraps of paper stuffed in a drawer isn’t a very good system.

An Israeli startup called Ringya has put an interesting new twist on the address book. They’ve taken, probably your most social set of data and added social functionality. Ringya allows users to share their address book, as much or as little of it as they want, as seamlessly as sharing a photo, video or other digital asset.

The app provides you with access to the people you need to reach, shows you how they fit into your world with contextual caller ID, and keeps the entire group current with instant collaborative updates.

Ringya not only makes managing your contacts simpler, but it also utilizes your phone’s camera to “scan” a shot of a contact list and organize it.

When I heard about Ringya I said a little prayer of thanks to the app gods. Ringya is an app that creates rings of contacts from all your contacts and lists. Here’s why it’s awesome– you don’t have to spend hours entering the contact info into your phone, you can take a photo of your paper contact list or upload a contact list with a few clicks! How easy is that?!

Far and away the coolest app I’ve seen lately is Ringya… Last week I took a photo of the contact list for my son’s soccer team.  Within minutes that list became the soccer team ring in my contacts.  I can also make life easier for the other team parents by sharing that ring with them.  Also, when one ring member updates their contact information the entire list automatically gets the update so the list stays current.

I don’t know about you but I’m drowning in information.  Lists, lists and more lists.  Classroom lists, sports team lists, business contact lists, book club lists and more.  Every time I come home from a meeting or conference, I bring home lists, emails and important information to manage.

I am all for time savers…like the Ringya iPhone App…The thing is this app isn’t just for businesses, but for coaches, PTAs, Girl/Boy Scouts, teachers and whoever has contact lists…Easy peasy! What a neat little app!

The big idea here is that we haven’t completely transitioned into an all-digital world. There are still contact lists hanging on bulletin boards, stuffed in customer files, passed around at PTA meetings, etc. And many of these types of lists are still on paper…
