A Happy (and Productive) Thanksgiving!

Ever wondered how old you’d be if you were a Pilgrim? Well, there’s an app for that.  On a more practical note, there are lots of tools to help you organize your holiday meal, come up with entertainment ideas, and learn more about the holiday’s roots.  We’ve scoured the blogosphere for good advice and here are some of the recommendations we found for Thanksgiving prep.

We knew @lifehacker would have plenty of practical advice and, sure enough, we found a Black Friday Survival Toolkit and a guide to dealing with travel woes during the busiest travel day of the year.

If you’re looking for a Thanskgiving day-by-day planner, check out this one by @work_it_mom – it starts 10 days prior to the holiday and counts down, with steps to follow to lay the groundwork for a successful get together.

Since lots of us are cooking for the holiday, PC Mike and ChicaLogic recommend the Chow Thanksgiving Dinner Coach app by CBS Interactive. Mother Nature Network points to iFeast to help “synchronize your meal prep work and cook times.” It also mentions a cool app for vintage cards, coloring for kids, and an app for Thanksgiving facts.

@AppAdvice recommends Better Homes and Gardens Celebrate for “recipes, party ideas, décor, iTunes playlist, etc.” and lists several recipe related apps to help plan menus and get cooking!

Good luck and have a happy and productive Thanksgiving!  (And be sure to join our next TWITTER PARTY on Tuesday Nov 27 at 9:00pm ET at #Ringya. More details to come on our blog, Facebook and Twitter feed.)
